Jury Selection in the Fraud Trial of a Prominent Medical and Forensic Expert
Dr. Art Patterson of DecisionQuest’s State College office discusses the jury selection in the upcoming trial of Cyril Wecht, a prominent medical-legal and forensic pathology expert. Over the past several decades, Wecht has publicly commented on such high-profile cases as the O.J. Simpson case, the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, and the deaths of Elvis Presley and JonBenet Ramsey. Wecht goes to trial in mid-October on 84 counts of mail fraud, wire fraud and theft of honest services. Federal prosecutors contend he used county employees and resources to do work for his private consulting business.
